This course introduces participants to many of the concepts found on the CAPM® certification exam. The course uses the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge Sixth Edition as the source material and aligns with the certification exams released March, 2018. Participants will earn 28 contact hours/PDUs upon completing this course. The numbers appearing after each topic (e.g. 1.1, 1.2) refer to the corresponding section of the PMBOK® Guide Sixth Edition. The CAPM® certifications are authored and maintained by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), a non-profit organization that collects and disseminates project management best practices. Over 800,000 people in 170 countries hold the PMP® or the CAPM® credential. The CAPM exam is generally viewed as quite challenging.
Prerequisites
CAPM® candidates with a high school diploma (or equivalent) require only this course to take the exam (at least 23 contact hours of project management training), though high school diploma holders with 1,500 hours of professional experience on a project team can satisfy the requirement.
